Understand what you specified
Unlacquered brass is a living finish. It darkens with handling, water, and time, and that progression is the point. Polishing it removes the patina and restarts the process unevenly, usually leaving bright rings around the areas most frequently touched.
How Blu Lux handles it
Unless a client specifically requests polished brass, our teams clean these fixtures without polishing compounds: gentle wiping, no abrasives, and prompt drying to prevent water marks from setting into the developing patina.
